DDR5 generation alone does not establish compatibility. Z4 G5 uses DDR5 ECC RDIMMs, which differ from Z2 UDIMMs. Order supported Z4 G5 RDIMM part numbers rather than treating similar appearance or capacity as proof of compatibility.
This QuickSpecs revision prohibits mixing 64GB RDIMMs with other capacities. The platform has eight slots and a 512GB maximum, requiring a supported uniform 64GB population at that capacity. Operating speed also depends on DIMMs per channel; maximum capacity and maximum speed are not a default installed configuration.
