    View all model FAQs
    Does the 2288 V8 8000 MT/s figure apply to ordinary DDR5 DIMMs?

No. xFusion separately lists DDR5 DIMMs up to 6400 MT/s and MRDIMMs up to 8000 MT/s, with actual support dependent on the processor and memory matrix. A quotation should identify memory type and population rather than just the highest family speed.

Can the maximum 3.5-inch, 2.5-inch and E3.S drive counts in 2288 V8 be added together?

No. The listed maxima of 20 x 3.5-inch, 33 x 2.5-inch or 36 x E3.S drives describe alternative chassis/backplane layouts, not three simultaneous maxima in one system. Select the media and bay layout first, then validate the backplane, controller and expansion-card requirements.
