Lenovo WenTian WR5220 G5 is a 2U dual-socket Intel Xeon 6 server with 32 DDR5 DIMM slots, optional CXL memory expansion, and multiple storage and GPU configurations for databases, virtualization, HPC and AI workloads. Platform and count	Supports 1 or 2 Intel Xeon 6 processors: P-core models up to 86 cores/350W, or E-core models up to 144 cores/330W. These limits apply to different CPU models

Slots and capacity	32 DDR5 DIMM slots; up to 8TB using 32 × 256GB 3DS RDIMMs and dual CPUs. Optional CXL 2.0 expansion is not standard equipment
Operating data rates	MRDIMM: up to 8000 MT/s at 1DPC. RDIMM: up to 6400 MT/s at 1DPC or 5200 MT/s at 2DPC. Rates depend on the CPU and configuration; an 8800-rated module does not guarantee that system operating rate

Storage

System drive-bay limits	Up to 20 × 3.5-inch, or 45 × 2.5-inch, or 48 E3.S 1T drives. These are alternative chassis/backplane configurations, not additive totals

Limited warranty	The guide lists 3-year 7×24×4 nationwide onsite limited warranty and installation services. Warranty coverage, response terms and delivery services depend on the serial number, purchased service and contract.

Documentation and configuration scope

Memory data-rate basis	As reviewed on 2026-10-28, the brochure lists 8800 MT/s, while LP2014 lists an MRDIMM operating rate of up to 8000 MT/s. The guide operating rate is used, subject to CPU and population rules
