Is the DL360 Gen11 intended for density-focused rack deployments?

Yes. The document positions it as a 1U dual-socket rack server for density-optimized compute and virtualization workloads. Rack planning still needs cooling, power and network checks. The 1U form factor does not imply support for arbitrary GPUs or drive quantities.

Should I check the dimensions of large-drive and small-drive DL360 Gen11 variants separately?

Yes. The technical table gives separate chassis depths for 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drive variants, which also have different storage layouts. Specify the variant, backplane and drive interfaces, and confirm rail support and rear cabling clearance.
