Can 128GB DIMMs be added alongside 64GB DIMMs to reach 1TB in Z6 G5?

Not in that mixed population. HP lists eight slots and a 1TB maximum, with 128GB modules specified as 3DS RDIMMs. Standard RDIMMs and 3DS RDIMMs cannot be mixed, and 64GB RDIMMs cannot be mixed with other capacities. Validate the existing and target populations as a whole.

Are all long PCIe slots in Z6 G5 electrically x16?

No. HP lists six standard PCIe slots, including one Gen3 slot with an x16 physical connector but an x8 electrical connection. When adding a NIC, storage adapter or GPU, check PCIe generation, electrical lanes and physical clearance rather than connector length alone.
