Can a full-height tower graphics card be moved straight into Z2 SFF G1i?

A PCIe x16 connector alone does not establish compatibility. Both the Gen5 x16 and Gen4 x4 positions in Z2 SFF G1i have half-height, half-length limits. Bracket height, length, power and cooling must also match. Select a validated low-profile card rather than reusing a Tower compatibility list.

Does the small Z2 SFF G1i chassis limit memory to 128GB?

The current QuickSpecs lists four DDR5 UDIMM slots and up to 256GB, not laptop SODIMMs. Reaching 256GB requires a supported non-ECC population; listed ECC modules are 16GB/32GB and cannot be mixed with non-ECC. Installed capacity remains specific to the purchased SKU.
